Adopt a GSD
Maggie (Cassie)

Maggie is an 11 weeks old, normal length coat female puppy.
She is wormed, vaccinated & microchipped.
Maggie needs her forever home.
Maggie is now in her new home.
Update from Maggie's new home:

"Just a quick email to let you know that our little lady
that you know as Maggie is doing great. (Still haven't named her
yet, she seems to get called 'Monkey' a lot though, can't think
why, ha ha!)
We have done loads, she has met lots of other dogs, been in to
work with me to meet everyone, been to the vets to meet everyone
and been just about everywhere! My 9 year old nephew is
absolutely besotted by her and she has met my 2 nieces who are
both babies. She gets on really well with both our greyhounds
and her new best friend is my sister's terrier, they played
together for ages the other evening and chased each other around
the coffee table in my sister's living room, which had us all
crying with laughter!
We have had no problems at all with her considering how
young she is and we start puppy classes next Tuesday, I have
found someone who seems to know a lot about Shepherds so it is
his class we are going to."
A further update:
"Hope all is well with you. Our little lady is doing great, we
have named her Cassie. We go to puppy class every week and we visit
town every Saturday, and loads more, she has a very busy schedule!
She knows all her basic commands and is on track to pass her kennel
club good citizen puppy foundation award, after that we intend to go
on to the bronze, silver and gold by which time she will have a good
basis to go on to do tracking and agility as soon as she is big
enough. We probably won't start any agility until she is at least 18
months so that her little bones are properly formed.
She visits the vets surgery every week to be weighed and to
familiarise her with everyone and they all love her. We passed on
your details to someone via the vets who has recently lost a
shepherd and possibly looking for another. We also gave your name to
a lady in town yesterday who fell head over heels in love with Cass
and it turns out she lost her shepherd only a couple of weeks ago.
She would love another one and she seemed like a lovely lady,
hopefully one of your rescues would like to go and live with her if
she's approved."
An update from Cassie:
"Hi Linda, Cassie here again, Mum's internet is rubbish!
Anyway what I was trying to tell you was all about my busy schedule,
it's such fun! We've done some shows and I went to the North Devon
show for a look around and I do loads of classes with my Mum.
Tuesday nights we do an obedience class, (Mum was dead chuffed with
me this week even though I did a detour around the field on the
retrieve exercise, she couldn't stop laughing but I did good with
the rest of it). Wednesday evening we went to a barbeque with the
Braunton dog club, and today I joined Barnstaple club and did a
class this evening. In a couple of weeks I start my Bronze award
apparently with Paws club on a Thursday evening! Mum thinks she's
going to tire me out but she hasn't succeeded yet.
I have been trying to send you some pictures of me being silly, hopefully it will work this time. There is one of me in my paddling pool that Mum and Dad bought me when the weather was warm and one of me eating Mum's plants which I thought was hilarious, not sure if Mum found it quite so funny but is probably getting used to it by now! I ate the rose the other morning which had just flowered, smelt nice so I thought I would give it a try! And one of me just being cute! "

Below is an update from Cassie’s owners:
"Cass is a very cheeky little dog. She is very much loved, mostly known as Monkey Socks which she was nicknamed as a puppy after the Rowntrees advertisement and it stuck !
Well done to Cass who passed her Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Gold Award in May 2011. She’s great fun."
