Grace

Grace is one of two dogs rescued from the pound in Yorkshire.  We only just got to her in time - she was due to be put to sleep just hours after we rescued her.  The pound only keep stray dogs for seven days before they are euthanized.  We had Grace transported to a local kennels just before Christmas, but due to the weather conditions she has only just arrived in Devon.

Grace is approximately only 14 months old and  has been through so much in her short life.  She is incredibly sweet natured.  She is a very busy little girl who loves her walks and to run and play in water.

Grace travels well in the car and appears to be toilet trained. She likes chasing balls and loves the company of other dogs. Grace could live with other dogs and children. She is very affectionate and loves nothing more than to cuddle up for a fuss.   Grace has had little or no formal training so would benefit from attending training classes, although she is generally well behaved.

If you think you can offer this incredibly sweet dog the loving home she so desperately needs, please contact us.

Grace is now in her new home.

Here is an update on her new life:

"Just a few lines to accompany Grace's photo's attached.
Well where do we start to describe the delightful addition to our family that is Grace? From the minute she arrived home she began to settle, incredibly loving she can't get enough cuddles and enjoys nuzzling her head on our laps.

She is extremely intelligent and learning so quickly that she seems to understand something new almost daily. Everyone that meets her adores her.

After just a few days she settled well enough to allow us to see glimpses of her impish character which just makes her even more special.  The Meercat toy that our daughter bought for her is never far from her side (even if it does now only have one ear!) and we are on the fourth tennis ball already! She is making a couple of canine friends nearby and behaved extremely well in the vets on her first visit despite being provoked by a couple of less friendly dogs.

Grace is clearly a very special dog, thanks to you all at Devon GSD Rescue for saving her at the eleventh hour, she is thouroughly enjoying life at the moment and we feel priviledged that she has come into ours.   Thank you so much."
