Back

Buck was rescued from Wales 2 years ago he is said to be about 9 years old.

Since Buck was brought into foster we have decided that because of his age and some age related health problems we will not make any more changes in his life and he will remain with his fosterers who have very kindly agreed to keep him on a permanent basis for us for the rest of his life..

Ref. no 0024

I have settled down in my new home in Mid Devon. I am pleased to have foster parents who have given me the name Bruno to which I like to answer to. Life is very exciting for me. I wait for my foster parents to wake up, and I check up on them just before they get up with a morning greeting of a wet nose or a lick on the arm, depending on which I feel they would like. I then wait patiently for them to get up and then let me out into a lovely garden. I then wait for the shoes, jumper, coat and lead. This means a walk in the new neighbourhood. These trips out are three times a day.

I do get special trips in the car, which I like very much as I can see out the back window. I also remind my foster parents by whimpering to let them know that the windows need to be opened.

I have two toys that I like to play with my foster parents; these are a squeaky ball and a rope ring with a tennis ball and tassels. I have just learnt to pick up the squeaky ball and throw it down.

I have 3 meals a day as I like my food little and often, although some days I do not feel like anything till the end of the day.

Lots of fussing is given to me each day, and I do get played with. I have a good brush each day, which I like very much. I did have a big itch, but it seems to be much better now.

One thing I was given was a nice tasty stick, which I like to lick and then eat. This I do like and is very tasty. They seem to be different tastes. (Treats)

I am given one capsule each day but I do like to push it out, but if I have it I get a small treat after. (This is cod liver oil capsule.)

Sleep plays a big role in my new home and I have a lovely quilt in the lounge, and one on the landing for when I go upstairs in the early hours of the morning.

I also have a new friend called sooty who is a French dwarf lop eared rabbit and has a home outside but comes in for cuddles too. I do like a good sniff.
