Max
21.12.07
Max was only with us three days before we wrenched him away from his foster home and he was welcomed by his new owners near Plymouth. We have since heard that he settled down as though he had been there all his life.
"Max, a beautiful German Shepherd came to us on 21st December. Within 10 minutes he felt quite at home, stretched out in front of the fire. He has settled in well with our little black Labrador - another rescue dog - and appears to be having a marvellous time exploring our large garden and chasing birds who merely fly away laughing. Very affectionate, he was a lovely Christmas present for us - we love him to bits."
Update May 2009

I have been in my new home for just over a year and four months and have got the place properly organised to my liking.
There was a sexy little black Labrador cross called Jessie living here before I arrived. She gets me going every evening when we come in to lay by the fire but, when I am feeling amorous she goes all coy and wont have anything to do with me - the little minx (Val and Peter say "thank heavens for that"). There is a lovely big garden here to roam about and around but I am afraid I have frightened away all the squirrels and rabbits and I now amuse myself by chasing the birds - but they just fly away out of sight. However, when the sun is shining I can lay out in the glorious warmth and dream of chasing little animals.
Sometimes I take a stroll down to the garden fence and gaze over at the cattle in the field. I know I mustn't bark at them.
On occasions I am taken for a walk in the forest, but they keep me on a long lead because of all the Deer which I am longing to chase.
What I do like is when we go for a run in the neighbouring farmers field, which is allowed when there is no livestock and Jessie and I can chase all around.
All in all its a dogs life here and it's not at all bad!
